816 New York joins club to celebrate and plan for a better urban future

Agency joins Open House New York

ASTORIA, QUEENS, NY, 7/24/19 – 816 New York, a strategic business consulting agency, announced today that it has joined Open House New York, a nonprofit centered around urban planning and preservation.

As part of the agency’s ongoing commitment to connecting with the housing, design, and infrastructure communities in New York City, joining Open House New York will facilitate more informed conversations with clients and colleagues.

From their website:

Open House New York celebrates the best examples of design and planning throughout the five boroughs, from historic to contemporary, and helps foster a more informed conversation about how architecture and urban design sustain New York as a vibrant place to live, work, and learn.

Sarah Williams, founder and director of 816 New York, is looking forward to volunteering during OHNY Weekend in October 2019, while continuing to attend events relating to their project The Moving City: Transportation Infrastructures of New York.

“When I learned of OHNY, I felt like I’d found my people. The first event I attended—Graphic Design in Transit—was both insightful and fun, providing access not only to fellow infrastructure/traffic enthusiasts (yes, I nerd out on that), but also to incredibly talented designers and decision-makers,” Williams says.

“I look forward to becoming actively involved in events and programs, as well as building relationships with members and staff, to engage more effectively within the city.”

Management consultant and brand strategist for small teams. Fan of dark tea, thick books, peace, and unity.
