816 New York pledges 1% to support homeless veterans nonprofit Southern CC

Strategic partnership aims to rebuild and revitalize veteran communities

NEW YORK, NY, 3/26/21 – 816 New York, a strategic business consulting agency, announced today that they will Pledge 1% in 2021 toward Southern CC, a veteran-led organization that empowers homeless veterans.

Founder Tony Brown built Southern CC, Inc. around the mission of uplifting homeless veterans by rebuilding and revitalizing their communities, while providing a network of support and programs that assist them to rebuild their lives.

Southern CC builds homes for veterans and in fallen soldiers’ names. They also provide activities and support, such as creative film and writing opportunities, cooking classes, and jobs courses for skills-building within the construction, manufacturing, and maintenance fields.

816 New York has been participating in the Pledge 1% initiative since 2017. Since then, the team has proudly donated profit and time via strategic planning and design skills to nonprofit organizations: Project Sunshine (NY), 22×20 campaign (NY) for The LAMP and CIRCLE project with Tufts University, Pets for Patriots (NY), Guyana Economic Development Trust (NY/Guyana), Core Paws (OR), and others.

“From the very first interaction with Tony and his team, I was blown away by their dedication and the number of initiatives they’ve launched in the Fayetteville community,” 816 New York founder Sarah Williams says. “The opportunities for growth for the organization are immense, and I’m excited to work with them.”

Williams will collaborate with Brown and his team on strategic planning, budgeting and fundraising, campaigns and outreach, and messaging.

“For any mission to be complete, we have to have Trust. We didn’t meet for no reason,” says Brown. “I am a very spiritual person and I believe this partnership is a blessing given to us.”
