The Challenge

Building a better website experience

We serve as post-launch website project manager for fastrackce.com. By managing their budget and team across domestic and international timezones—including expense management, timely invoicing, receivables tracking, and monitoring / managing subcontractor expenses—we have consistently saved the client at least 40% each month.

We applied Agile project management techniques to create a more stable, high-performing, well-supported website and better overall communication between the team and stakeholders.

  • Discovery: Assessing the backend structure of the website, including meetings with stakeholders, database administrators, and support staff members. Gathering relevant information from the development teams in order to facilitate updates and fix bugs.
  • Stability: The website’s infrastructure was fraught with instability and conflicts. The site regularly went down, and siloed teams were each blaming each other for the outages. We unified the team to evaluate and compare logs, enabled more responsive and effective monitoring and troubleshooting, and resolved the problem within the first 30 days.
  • Security: We identified significant website security vulnerabilities and lack of site security protocols. We implemented site security.
  • User Experience: We perform UX analysis, handle customer service issues, and identify weak areas, in order to direct the team on how to create a better customer service and user experience:  responsiveness, frontend, backend (members area), e-commerce flows, etc.
  • Team Management: Managing subcontractors, including timely invoicing and monitoring / managing subcontractor expenses. Supporting the transition from current web team to future team, including developing RFP / job description, interviews, and evaluation of proposals.
  • Communications: Meetings with outsourced staff and leadership to report on progress. Developing SOPs and guiding Jira epics and tasks, including content and functionality updates, software updates, and integrations. Identifying qualities, skills, and resources to facilitate website stability and find and troubleshoot bugs.
